Michael Farber, Co-Founder & Secretary

Michael is the co-founder of Breakout, a community focused media company that shines a light and empowers creators, movement leaders, and rule breakers making a difference across America. Breakout is headquartered in NYC but additionally active in LA, SF, Miami, Portland, Nashville, Detroit, Baltimore, DC, Atlanta, and soon Chicago. Breakout hosts weekly gatherings, service events, day long neighborhood immersive dives, and multi day immersive gatherings. Breakout also develops and distributes weekly stories showcasing members of our community. Most recently, Breakout launched a non profit foundation to issue grants to social entrepreneurs and non profit leaders uplifting our communities. Previously, Michael was an SVP and Head of National Expansion for Bisnow Media, the nation’s largest commercial real estate media company which in 2016 sold to Wicks, a private equity firm.

Graham Cohen, Co-Founder & Treasurer

Graham is the co-founder of Breakout, a community focused media company that shines a light and empowers creators, movement leaders, and rule breakers making a difference across America. Breakout is headquartered in NYC but additionally active in LA, SF, Miami, Portland, Nashville, Detroit, Baltimore, DC, Atlanta, and soon Chicago. Previously, Graham was VP of Sales for Bisnow Media, the nation’s largest commercial real estate media company which in 2016 sold to Wicks, a private equity firm.

Kimmy Scotti, CO-President of the Board

Kimmy Scotti is a partner at 8VC and a member of the investment team focusing on IT investments and Founder of the women’s health and wellness company Monthly Gift. Prior to 8VC, Ms. Scotti served as the Executive Director of Business Development & Operations at Loeb Enterprises where she co-founded Script Relief, a direct-to-consumer healthcare company that has helped over 10 million Americans afford their prescription medications. She also serves as the Executive Chairman of The RunThrough, the international, digital showroom connecting established and emerging designers to the fashion press. She is a member of New York Angels, an advisor to the CFDA Incubator, an advisor to Cornell Tech.

Rebecca Parekh, Director

Rebecca Parekh is the Founder and CEO of White Radish, a consulting company focused on health and wellness. Prior to founding White Radish, Rebecca was the COO for Deepak Chopra Radical Well-Being, where she worked to secure federal funding for complementary and integrative health research. Rebecca was the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Global Foundation for Eating Disorders. Before transitioning to the health and wellness sector, Rebecca spent ten years at Deutsche Bank Securities, focused primarily on structured credit, covering hedge funds and private equity firms. Rebecca sits on the board of several non-profit foundations and social impact companies focused on education and gender inequity.
